Ride for the Roses 2011

Nieuwkoop Europe will again participate in the cycle tour with a team and contribute to the event, the proceeds of which will be donated to the Queen Wilhelmina Fund against cancer (KWF Kankerbestrijding).

The Ride has become a household word in the Dutch world of cycling. The cycle tour is ridden from start to finish by one huge pack of thousands of cyclists at a speed of 28 to 30km per hour, escorted by police on a fenced-off track.

The Ride for the Roses owes its success to its unique formula: being active in a sportsmanlike, healthy and pleasant way and simultaneously helping fight cancer. It is a sporting achievement in which you participate because you wish to encourage those who suffer from cancer or because you are well-disposed towards the aims of the event.
