Origin
The Radermachera sinica, also known as the China Doll plant, originates from Southeast Asia, particularly in the south of China and Taiwan. Here, the plant grows in mountainous areas, where it can develop into a large tree.

Characteristics
In nature, the Radermachera sinica can grow up to 30 metres high, but as a pot plant, it usually remains limited to about one to two metres. The plant is characterised by its deep green, shiny and beautifully feathered leaves. The leaves are fine and delicate, giving the plant an elegant appearance. Moreover, with good care, the Radermachera sinica produces clusters of yellow or white flowers that give off a subtle scent.

Care
The Radermachera sinica requires a light, but not a directly sunny location. Ensure that the soil remains lightly moist at all times without the roots standing in water. This can cause root rot, which can be fatal for the plant. It is advised to regularly fertilise the plant with a nutrient solution for green plants during the growing period, from March to August. Too dry air can cause brown leaf tips, therefore it is wise to maintain the humidity level around the plant.
