Bush

Origin
The Photinia x fraseri 'Pink Marble' is a hybrid variant of the Photinia, primarily found in North America and Asia. The 'Pink Marble' gets its name from William Fraser, botanist and British colonial administrator in India. This decorative shrub is popular in many gardens and parks for its unique appearance.
Characteristics
The Photinia x fraseri 'Pink Marble' is an evergreen shrub with striking variegated leaves. They are green-coloured with cream-yellow edges and red shoots. The leaf changes to green as the year progresses. The plant blooms in April and May with small, white flowers that cluster in rose-like bunches. In autumn, the plant develops red berries that are very attractive to birds.
Care
Taking care of the Photinia x fraseri 'Pink Marble' is relatively simple and the plant doesn't ask much of the soil. It thrives best in the sun or partial shade. The soil needs to drain well, but should not be too dry. It is recommended to prune the plant once a year, preferably in spring, in order to maintain compact growth and a full crown. In winter, some protection against frost is desirable.
