Origin
The Maranta leuconeura 'Fascinator', also known commonly as the Prayer Plant, has its origin in the tropical rainforests of Brazil. In these damp and shady environments, the plant finds its optimal living conditions. It is a tropical plant belonging to the Marantaceae family, which is known for its diversity of unique and stunning leaf patterns and colours.

Characteristics
The Maranta leuconeura 'Fascinator' is a beautiful indoor plant with characteristic leaves. The leaves are oval in shape with a green colour adorned with dark pink veins and stripes which give the plant an intriguing and striking appearance. The leaves also have the unique characteristic of folding up in the evening, hence the nickname 'Prayer Plant'. The plant grows wide and low with a maximum height of approximately 30 cm.

Care
The Maranta leuconeura 'Fascinator' requires a specific type of care in order to grow and flourish. Since the plant originates from a tropical climate, it prefers a warm and humid environment. The plant needs indirect sunlight and should not be placed in direct sunlight as this can damage the leaves. The soil needs to be constantly moist, and the plant is best regularly sprayed with lukewarm water. Finally, the Maranta leuconeura 'Fascinator' thrives best at a room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius.
