Origin
The Peperomia Greyhound originates from South America. It is primarily found in the rainforest, where it exists as an undergrowth plant. The plant is part of the Piperaceae family, which is also known as the pepper family. This family consists of over a thousand different types of plants.
Characteristics
The Peperomia Greyhound is known for its elegant leaves that grow in a light grey colour. The leaves have a smooth surface, making them shiny. With its compact and bushy growth habit, the plant does not grow much taller than 30 centimetres. A characteristic feature of the Peperomia Greyhound is the way the leaves grow closely together, giving the plant a full appearance.
Care
In terms of care, the Peperomia Greyhound offers some flexibility. The plant tolerates both light and semi-shady locations, but performs best in bright, indirect light. Moderation is key for watering; the plant prefers slightly moist soil, but does not cope well with water saturation. Finally, while the Peperomia Greyhound can withstand some temperature variations, it performs best at a constant room temperature.
