Olive tree
The olive tree, also known as Olea europaea, has been a popular plant in outdoor planting for years. The olive tree has a true Mediterranean look and retains its grey-green leaves in winter. In our range, you will find many different types of Oleas, such as bush, on stem, bonsai, and branched, in varying pot sizes. So, there is a suitable olive tree for every outdoor space!
The Olea europaea is best placed in a sunny, sheltered spot. The olive tree is generally winter-hardy to a temperature of about -10 °C. When the temperature threatens to drop below -5 °C, it's best to wrap the Olea.

Palms
Most palms grow in warm, tropical countries and need a high temperature to grow well. Yet, there are also various palms that can survive a period of light frost just fine and that can create the tropical atmosphere all year round in various climates.
The Trachycarpus fortunei, also known as the Chinese fan palm, is a particularly winter-hardy palm that can survive temperatures up to -15 °C. It's important that the palm is placed in a sunny but sheltered spot out of the wind. You can shop with us for various Trachycarpuses, up to 5 meters high.
Also, the Chamaerops humilis 'Vulcano' is a winter-hardy palm up to about -10 °C. This smaller palm species originally grows in Europe, in the Mediterranean area. The Chamaerops doesn't need to be in the sun all day, but does require a bright spot.

Citrus
In our range, you will find various Citrus trees every year. Whether you choose the classic lemon or the unique kumquat, these cheerful little trees immediately give a summer and Mediterranean feeling to a garden or terrace.
For good growth and ripening of the fruits, a citrus tree should always be placed in a sunny and sheltered spot. Most citrus trees also bloom best in a warm environment. In the warm spring and summer months, the Citrus can be placed outside, but since most Citruses are not winter-hardy, they should be brought inside before the frost period.

Yucca
The Yucca is a popular plant in homes and offices. The Yucca originally grows in the deserts of the United States and Mexico. This makes it a very strong plant used to both a very warm and dry climate as well as a cold climate. Thus, there are various Yucca species that can be kept outside all year round in most climates.
Almost all Yuccas are accustomed to very dry soil. When placed outside, the soil must therefore be well-draining. The Yucca likes a sunny and sheltered location and requires very little water.
The winter-hardy Yucca species vary in the degree of winter-hardiness. For example, the Yucca rostrata is winter-hardy up to -20 °C. The Yucca filifera is moderately winter-hardy up to about -7 °C. At lower temperatures, this plant should be wrapped to protect it from severe frost. The Yucca gloriosa is reasonably winter-hardy to a temperature of about -10 °C.

Evergreen ornamental plants
In our range, you will find various evergreen plants and shrubs. These plants retain their leaves throughout all seasons and are therefore popular choices for outdoor planting. We highlight a few types below.
The Ilex crenata, also known as the Japanese holly, has small, compact green leaves and is often used as a hedge. There are various types, varying in colour and shape. The Ilex crenata is very winter-hardy and survives temperatures up to -20°C.
Another popular plant for hedges is the Taxus baccata, also known as the Yew. This plant has long, needle-like leaves that provide dense growth. In our range, you will find many Taxus baccatas that can be planted as a tree or in a pot.
The Pinus, better known as the pine, is known for its green needles. This genus of plants has a wide variety of species, shapes, and sizes. In our range, you'll find the smaller trees on a stem, perfect for garden planting. These types are all winter-hardy and retain their green throughout all seasons.
