Origin
The Tillandsia Andreas belongs to the Bromeliaceae family and has its origin in Central and South America. This plant species can be found in both rainforests and desert-like areas. The largest diversity of species is found in Mexico, Colombia, and Brazil.

Characteristics
The Tillandsia Andreas is an epiphytic plant, which means that it grows on other plants without parasitising them. With its sharp, pointed leaves it can extract moisture and nutrients from the air. Care
The Tillandsia Andreas needs a lot of light, but cannot tolerate direct sunlight. They do not require soil to grow but the plant must be regularly sprayed with water. They also need a high humidity level, so they often need to be sprayed in dry heated rooms and require good ventilation to avoid rot. The plants are best placed on a piece of bark, some wood, or in a glass vase.
