Characteristics
The Gloxinia Sonata mix is a remarkable plant, known for its velvet-like, trumpet-shaped flowers that appear in various shades of pink, purple, red and white. This plant has large, dark green, hairy leaves that contrast beautifully with the bright flowers. It is a compact plant that grows to approximately 20-30cm high. The bloom usually occurs in late spring and summer, where the flowers make a striking and attractive appearance.
Care
In terms of care, the Gloxinia Sonata mix prefers bright, indirect light and a high humidity environment. The temperature should not drop below 15°C, which corresponds with its tropical origin. Moderate watering is advised, but avoid pouring water directly onto the leaves as it could cause rot. During the blooming phase, the plants need to be fed regularly. After blooming, the plant needs a rest period of approximately two months. During this time, watering should be reduced.
