The Gloxinia Sonata Lilac originates from the tropical rainforests of Brazil. The plant is a member of the Gesneriaceae family. There are several subspecies that are also known by the name of Velvet Plant.

Characteristics
Characteristics of the Gloxinia Sonata Lilac include its large, velvety leaves and vibrant lilac flowers, which resemble bells. The plant grows up to 30 centimetres tall and has a strong stem. The flowers bloom in the summer months, from June to September.
