Skimmia japonica 'Godrie's Dwarf' is a selection from the Rutaceae plant family, originally hailing from East Asia. The species's name, japonica, indicates that this plant was first described in Japan. 'Godrie's Dwarf' is a cultivar, specifically bred for its distinct characteristics. The plant was developed and distributed by Siertuin Godrie in Zundert, the Netherlands.

Characteristics
Skimmia japonica 'Godrie's Dwarf' is a compact, slow-growing ornamental shrub. The plant's leaves are leathery, shiny and stay beautifully green all year round. In the spring, this cultivar produces scented white flowers, which ripen to shiny red berries in the autumn. Notably, 'Godrie's Dwarf' is of particular small size and typically only grows to a height of 50cm, which makes it perfect for planting in containers or small gardens.

Care
