Origin
The Alocasia Ninja originates from the tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia, where it thrives in warm and humid conditions. This plant belongs to the Araceae family, also known as the Arum family. Despite its tropical origin, it can also be found in other conditions as it spreads through seed propagation and tubers. This plant is also known by the name 'Elephant's Ear', due to its massive leaves.

Characteristics
The Alocasia Ninja is characterized by its large, shiny, heart-shaped leaf, which contributes to the luxurious appearance of the plant. The leaves are dark green to almost black in colour with light veins, creating a strong contrast with the lighter environment. The plant can grow up to 2 metres high in total, depending on the care and environment. The Alocasia Ninja is a fast grower and can, under optimal conditions, grow into a large indoor plant within a few months.

Care
The Alocasia Ninja likes a warm and slightly moist environment, making the plant highly suitable for growing in a greenhouse or terrarium. It requires a lot of light but cannot tolerate direct sunlight. The soil in which the Alocasia Ninja is planted must be well-draining to prevent root rot. This plant needs to be watered regularly, but allow the soil to dry out lightly between watering. The optimal temperature for the Alocasia Ninja is between 18 and 22 degrees Celsius.
