The Euphorbia amygdaloides 'Purpurea', also known as Purple Wood Spurge, originates from Europe and Asia. It is one of the many species within the Euphorbia genus, which owes its name to Euphorbus, the Greek physician of King Juba II of Numibia.
Characteristics
The Euphorbia amygdaloides 'Purpurea' is a striking perennial, characterised by its purple-red leaves and distinctive green-yellow flowers that appear in spring. It has a bushy growth form and can reach a height of 50 to 70 centimetres.
