The Asplenium antiquum 'Leslie', also known as the Birds Nest Fern 'Leslie', is a tropical fern originally from East Asia. It is a native plant of Japan, China, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia, often found on trees in the rainforest.

Characteristics
The Asplenium antiquum 'Leslie' is an epiphytic fern, meaning it grows on other plants. What's unique about this fern is the shape of its leaves: they are lightly waved, wide, and green in colour. The plant develops a funnel-shaped rosette of leaves that grow in a circular pattern, making the plant resemble a bird's nest, hence the nickname. This fern can reach a height of approximately 60 cm.

Care
Caring for the Asplenium antiquum 'Leslie' requires an environment with high humidity and indirect sunlight. It's important to emphasise that this plant isn't suitable for direct sunlight, as this can damage the leaves. The soil must remain consistently moist, without the plant being submerged in water. In the winter months, it's advisable to reduce watering. A monthly dose of general plant feed during the growth period is recommended for optimal growth.
