Origin
The Myrtillocactus geometrizans is a cactus species originating from Mexico. It mainly grows on rocky and arid hills. Its natural distribution is mainly in central and northern Mexico.

Characteristics
Given favourable conditions, this cactus can develop into large, branched shrubs. At a height of 50 to 60 cm, the plant is usually cylindrical in shape with several ribs. The trunk ranges in colour from blue-green to grey-green. Small areoles with spines are scattered along the ribs, and older specimens may develop small flowers.

Care
Myrtillocactus geometrizans prefers a location with plenty of light. A well-draining, mineral-rich substrate is recommended for healthy growth. The plant tolerates periods of drought and has a low water requirement. During the growing season, the temperature should preferably remain above 10 degrees Celsius.
