Origin
The Dracaena godseffiana 'Florida beauty', also known as the Gold Dust Dracaena, has its origin in tropical and subtropical areas of Africa, Asia and Australia. This exotic plant has been introduced to many parts of the world and is appreciated for its graceful leaf shape and colour.

Characteristics
Characteristic of the Dracaena godseffiana 'Florida beauty' are its broad, oval leaves that are green with striking yellow or golden spots. The plant is easily recognisable by these spotted leaves that offer an attractive contrast against the rest of the green leaf. The plant can grow up to a metre high but generally stays smaller in cultivation conditions. It grows slowly and can live for several years.

Care
The Dracaena godseffiana 'Florida beauty' requires a moderate amount of light and does not cope well with direct sunlight. It needs well-drained soil and moderate water consumption. Too much water can lead to root rot. It is also advisable to place the plant in a location with a stable temperature and to avoid extreme cold or heat. In terms of feeding, no special care is required, a general houseplant fertiliser can be administered a few times a year.
