Origin
The Sansevieria cylindrica 'Spikes', also known as the cylindrical sansevieria, has its origin in West Africa. It is a succulent species from the Asparagaceae family. The plant is primarily found in Angola, but also grows in other arid regions of West Africa.

Characteristics
The Sansevieria cylindrica 'Spikes' is characterised by its unique shape: upright, cylinder-like leaves that end in a sharp point, hence the nickname 'Spikes'. The leaves are usually dark green in colour, marked with light stripes, and can reach a height of 1 metre. It is a highly resistant plant that can survive in a variety of conditions and climates, as well as in artificial environments such as building interiors.

Care
The Sansevieria cylindrica 'Spikes' requires relatively little maintenance. As a succulent, the plant needs little water, especially in the winter months. Overwatering can be harmful and damage the roots of the plant. Positioning the plant in a well-draining pot and a location with ample light, but not direct sunlight is best. Although the plant will endure some drought, they perform best at a temperature between 15 and 23 degrees Celsius.
