Characteristics
The Phalaenopsis Red Lips stands out due to its striking flower colour, to which it owes its name. The flowers are bright red, interspersed with deep pink and white shades, giving this orchid a beautiful appearance. Unique to this variety is its long flowering period, which can last up to three months. The leaves are glossy green, and the flower stems can bear multiple flowers at once.
Care
The Phalaenopsis Red Lips requires special attention for optimal growth and development. It grows best at a temperature between 20 and 22 degrees Celsius. Regular watering is necessary, however, over watering should be avoided to prevent root rot. Furthermore, it requires a lot of light, but direct sunlight can be harmful. Finally, to promote prolonged blooming, it is advised to remove the faded flower stems immediately.
