Origin
The Bulnesia arborea is a tropical tree species that originally hails from the northern part of South America. It predominantly grows in countries like Venezuela, Colombia, and the Guyanas. It's also known as the "palo santo" tree.

Characteristics
Bulnesia arborea can grow up to a height of 20 metres and develop a roughly 30cm-thick trunk upon maturity. The tree produces small, yellow flowers, and sturdy, brown seed pods. This tree has a dense and attractive crown with alternately arranged, impressively long elliptical leaves. The wood of this tree has a distinctive dark colour and rich texture with a highly aromatic and pleasant scent.

Care
Being a tropical plant, the Bulnesia arborea prefers warm, humid conditions. This means the tree requires high air humidity and needs to be planted in well-drained, nutritious soil. Full sunlight is essential for the growth and flower production of this species. Regular pruning is recommended to maintain the health and appearance of the tree.
