Origin
The Calathea roseopicta 'Julia', a member of the Marantaceae family, has its origin from the tropical regions of Central and South America. The plant is known in these areas for its lush growth in the shady understories of the rainforest. In Brazil, they are part of the native flora and they are characterised as 'Prayer Plants'.

This pot plant stands out with oval, glossy green leaves which are decorated on the upper surface with striking pink-purple coloured patterns. The underside of the leaves exhibits a rich purple hue. This extravagant plant can grow to a height of approximately 30-50 cm in optimal conditions.
