Origin
The Dracaena fragrans 'Massangeana', also known as the Cornstalk Dracaena, is a plant species native to Africa. The plant is particularly indigenous to Sudan, Mozambique, Ivory Coast, and Angola. In the 19th century, the plant was introduced to other parts of the world by European explorers.

Characteristics
The Dracaena fragrans 'Massangeana' is a polite, slow-growing plant with a palm-like appearance. The plant can reach a height of two to three meters in an indoor environment. A distinctive feature of this plant are the yellow stripes in the middle of the dark green, sword-shaped leaves. The plant rarely produces flowers in an indoor climate, but when it does, they are small, white flowers with a spicy, sweet scent.

So, a spot out of the full sun is advisable. The plant also requires little water, only once per week is sufficient. Drainage is essential to prevent root rot.
