DescriptionSpecifications

Origin
The Dracaena fragrans 'Riki' is a type of tree originally from tropical Africa, specifically from regions like Sudan and Mozambique. This species of plant is part of the Asparagaceae family. Also known as the Dragon's Blood Tree, this plant has a rich history and has been cultivated for various purposes for centuries.

Characteristics
The Dracaena fragrans 'Riki' is an air-purifying indoor plant characterised by its slim leaves and tall growth. The 'Riki' leaves are glossy, dark green in colour and have a leathery texture. These leaves can grow up to 90 cm long. The plant can reach a height of 6 meters, though usually stays smaller indoors. The 'Riki' plant rarely blooms, but when it does, it produces a sweet-smelling white flower.

Care
The Dracaena fragrans 'Riki' does not require much light and is best placed in a shaded area inside the house. Excessive sunlight can indeed damage its leaves. The plant requires regular watering, but the potting soil should be allowed to dry out between watering periods to prevent root rot. Although the 'Riki' can cope with low humidity, it is a good idea to occasionally mist the plant with water to increase the humidity around the plant. Moreover, it is advisable to fertilize the plant once a month during the growing season.
