DescriptionSpecifications

Origin
The Dracaena surculosa, also known as the gold dust dracaena, has its origin in tropical West Africa. It is particularly found in the southeast of Nigeria, Cameroon and Brazzaville. The growth conditions in this part of the world are warm and humid, making this plant a true tropical species.

Characteristics
The Dracaena surculosa is a small, multi-trunked evergreen shrub that grows up to 2-2.5 metres high. The plant is distinguishable by its colourful leaves, which are dark green with yellow spots. These spots are prominently present on the leaves and give the plant its unique appearance. The plant produces small, white flowers in the summer.

Care
Dracaena surculosa requires indirect sunlight and thrives best at a moderate temperature between 65 and 75 degrees Fahrenheit (18-24°C). The plant has average water needs and should only be watered when the top layer of soil feels dry. Too much water can lead to root rot, therefore excess water should be drained off well. It is also recommended to regularly clean the leaves to remove dust and maintain the appearance and health of the plant.
