Origin
The Guzmania 'Switch' 6/tray is a graceful plant originating from Central and South America. This plant belongs to the Bromeliad family and predominantly grows in tropical rainforests, usually high up in the trees. They were discovered by Spanish explorers in the 19th century and named after Anastasio Guzman, a known Spanish botanist and nature lover.

Characteristics
The Guzmania 'Switch' 6/tray is renowned for its spectacular flowering pattern with bright colours ranging from red, pink, orange, to yellow. The plant has a compact growth and consists of a rosette of glossy green leaves from which emerges the colourful flower petal. This is characterized by long, narrow leaves and the tall, brightly coloured flower petal that can bloom for months. A unique feature of the Guzmania 'Switch' is that the flower towers above the plant, making it especially notable.

Care
The Guzmania 'Switch' 6/tray prefers a warm, light spot but not in direct sunlight. The plant consumes little water; it is sufficient to spritz the leaves occasionally and keep the flower cup filled with water. Although the Guzmania is a tropical plant, it does not like high humidity. Therefore, a light but not excessively humid room environment is ideal. The plant otherwise requires little nutrition and can go a long time without new potting soil.
