Origin
The Schefflera Lova is a green houseplant originally from Taiwan and Southeast China. The plant is named after the nineteenth-century German botanist Jacob Christoph Scheffler. In its natural habitat, the plant thrives in subtropical areas, where it grows well in the shadow of larger trees.
Characteristics
The Schefflera Lova is characterised by its five-fingered, hand-shaped leaves. The leaves are a dark green colour and shine due to a waxy layer. The plant has a lush growth and can, depending on the care, grow into a substantial houseplant. Under optimal conditions, the plant produces small, white flowers.
Care
The Schefflera Lova needs an average amount of light, but cannot tolerate direct sunlight. The plant prefers a room temperature between 15 and 21 degrees Celsius. It's important to regularly water the plant, but avoid overwatering, as this can lead to root rot. The air humidity for this plant should be high, so it's recommended to regularly spray the leaves.
