Microsorum crocodyllus

Product number : 4MICRBU38
DescriptionSpecifications

Origin
The Microsorum crocodyllus is a fern species that originates from the tropical and subtropical regions of Asia and Polynesia. This plant is also known by the name 'Crocodile fern'. This name is due to the fact that the texture of the leaves reminds one of the skin of a crocodile.

Characteristics
The Microsorum crocodyllus stands out due to its striking long and wide leaves which have a beautiful deep green colour. The leaves have a leathery texture and are characterised by a pattern that is reminiscent of the rough skin of a crocodile, hence the name. The plant can become quite large, with leaves that can reach up to a meter in length.

Care
The Microsorum crocodyllus likes an airy but moist soil and thrives best in indirect, bright light. The plant cannot tolerate direct sunlight, as this can burn the leaves. Ideally, keep the soil of the Microsorum crocodyllus constantly moist, but too much water can lead to root rot. The plant is rather temperature-sensitive and should preferably be placed where the temperature does not drop below 15 degrees Celsius.
