DescriptionSpecifications

Origin
The Monstera deliciosa 'Little Sister' is a popular house plant that originally comes from the tropical rainforest of Central and South America. Here, the plant often grows as an epiphyte, which means it uses other plants to climb higher in the trees and reach more light. It's a variety of the Monstera deliciosa, also known as the Swiss cheese plant.

Characteristics
The 'Little Sister' is a compact variant of the Monstera deliciosa and therefore grows less than the original plant. The plant is loved for its striking, heart-shaped leaves which develop holes over time. The leaves are shiny and dark green in colour. The Monstera deliciosa 'Little Sister' is a fast-growing plant and can even grow more than a metre high indoors.

Care
The Monstera deliciosa 'Little Sister' needs indirect sunlight and does not do well in direct sunlight. In addition, it's important that the plant is placed in well-draining soil to prevent root rot. The plant does not need much water, it's enough to let the soil slightly dry out between watering. This variety of the Monstera deliciosa can be rather sensitive to low temperatures, so it's not advisable to expose the plant to cold temperatures.
