The Murdannia loriformis 'Bright Star', also known as a member of the 'Spiderwort' family, has its roots in Asia. It is believed that this green beauty originally comes from the lush crests of the Himalayas and Southeast Asia. This plant therefore has a proclivity to survive in various challenging growth conditions.

Characteristics
The Murdannia loriformis 'Bright Star' is a low-growing, grassy perennial. It has narrow, linear, shiny green leaves that are complete with a light venation of white to pink shades. This plant produces small, bright lilac flowers, usually during the autumn months. It is not unusual to see this variety in a 6/tray format, as this better facilitates growth and propagation patterns.

Care
The Murdannia loriformis 'Bright Star' is relatively low maintenance. It prefers light, indirect sun and cannot cope well with full sun. In terms of watering, this plant prefers a consistently damp substrate, but absolutely not too wet, especially in winter. It is recommended to use a well-draining potting medium to prevent overwatering and the associated root rot.
