DescriptionSpecifications

Origin
The Pachycereus pringlei, better known as the Cardon cactus, is found in the deserts of the Baja California peninsula in Mexico. It is an integral part of the desert ecosystem, providing food and shelter to various animal species. It also plays a role in the culture of the indigenous population, who consume the fruit of the cactus.

Characteristics
The Pachycereus pringlei is the largest cactus in the world, it can reach a height of up to 20 metres and can live up to 1,000 years. The trunk is covered in sharp spines, while the flowers, which bloom at night, grow on long arms. The fruits are edible and have the appearance of small melons.

Care
The Pachycereus pringlei requires little care and thrives in dry, desert-like conditions. It needs plenty of sunlight, but can also tolerate partial shade. The plant is suitable for dry and well-draining soil, such as sandy soil. Overwatering should be avoided as like other cactus species, the plant is sensitive to too much water.
