Origin
The Philodendron 'Silver Queen' originates from the tropical rainforests of South America. This exotic plant belongs to the Araceae family. In the wild, the 'Silver Queen' grows on the understory, where it works its way to the light via tree trunks.

Due to this striking appearance, the plant is also known as 'Silver Philodendron'. Another unique characteristic is the way the plant grows; like a vine, it creeps along surfaces in search of light.

Care
In order for the Philodendron 'Silver Queen' to bloom, it is important that the plant is placed in a spot with indirect sunlight. Too much direct sunlight can cause damage to the leaves. The soil should be lightly moist, but the plant does not tolerate waterlogging. It is recommended to feed monthly with a liquid plant food during spring and summer. In winter, this feeding can be halved.
