DescriptionSpecifications

Origin
The Rhipsalis cashero, also known as the Cashero Cactus, originates from the rainforests of Central and South America. As a member of the cactus family, this plant is unique as it is the only one of its kind to be found in the wild outside of the Americas.

Characteristics
The Rhipsalis cashero is a hanging plant with elongated, green stems. The stems are cylindrical in shape and can reach up to 60 centimetres in length. The plant is leafy with small, unassuming white flowers that bloom in the winter and early spring. It is an epiphytic plant, meaning it grows on other plants in the wild without taking nutrients from its host.

Care
The Rhipsalis cashero is a relatively easy plant to care for. The plant requires bright, indirect light and prefers higher humidity. Watering should be moderate and the soil should be allowed to dry out completely between waterings. A well-draining soil type is essential to reduce the risk of root rot. The Rhipsalis cashero can be grown both indoors and outdoors, but does not tolerate temperatures below 10 degrees Celsius well.
