Origin
The Sansevieria trifasciata 'Laurentii' 12/tray, also known as the snake plant, has its origin in West Africa, from Nigeria to Congo. It grows there in dry, rocky environments and has therefore developed good drought tolerance characteristics.

Characteristics
The Sansevieria trifasciata 'Laurentii' is characterised by its tall, upright, sword-shaped leaves. These leaves are dark green in colour with light yellow edges and have a leathery texture. The plant can reach a height of about 75 centimetres and grows slowly. The plant has small, star-shaped, green flowers that grow on the leaves.

Care
Generally, caring for the Sansevieria trifasciata 'Laurentii' is easy. It prefers bright, indirect light but can also thrive in the shade. Watering only needs to happen sporadically, it's important to wait until the soil has completely dried out before watering again. Too much water can lead to root rot. A well-draining soil is recommended to ensure that the water doesn't remain in the base. An average room temperature of 18 to 24 degrees is ideal.
