Origin
The Scindapsus Aureum, also known as the Epipremnum Aureum, originates from the southern Pacific Ocean, particularly the Solomon Islands, New Caledonia, Papua New Guinea, and Northern Australia. It is a climbing or hanging plant that can grow up to 20 metres high in the wild.

Characteristics
The Scindapsus Aureum is recognised by its heart-shaped leaves, approximately 10 to 20 centimetres long, which are glossy and light green in colour, with yellow or white spots. The plant grows quickly, and in domestic conditions, the tendrils can grow to two to three metres long. In addition, aerial roots ensure that the plant can attach itself to a support, which means it can grow vertically on a moss pole as well as hanging from a basket or shelf.

Care
The Scindapsus Aureum prefers a warm, light spot but also tolerates semi-shade. Direct sunlight, however, can damage the leaves. The soil should always be slightly moist, without water collecting at the bottom of the pot. Although the plant is resistant to drought, the leaves appreciate regular misting with water, especially in winter. It is recommended to feed the plant with houseplant food during the growing period from spring to autumn.
