Origin
The Spathiphyllum 'Sweet Lauretta', also known as the Peace Lily, has its origin in the tropical rainforests of Central and South America. It is a plant species from the Araceae family. The plant's popularity grew in the 19th century when it was brought to Europe and cultivated indoors as an ornamental plant.

Characteristics
The 'Sweet Lauretta' distinguishes itself by its dark green, glossy leaves and striking white flowers, which give a peaceful appearance. The flowers can bloom all year round, but are particularly prominent in late spring. The plant can grow up to 40 centimeters tall. The flowers come from a spadix, a type of flower stem, which is surrounded by a white leaf.

Care
The 'Sweet Lauretta' requires a shady to partially shaded location with high humidity, similar to its original rainforest habitat. The plant has a moderate need for water and doesn't enjoy overwatering. It's important to fertilise the plant regularly for optimal growth and blooming. A temperature between 18 and 22 degrees Celsius is ideal for the 'Sweet Lauretta'.
