Origin
The Veitchia (Adonidia) merrillii, also known as Christmas palm, is native to the Philippines and Malaysia. This tropical palm tree naturally grows in humid, coastal areas and is often found along riverbeds in its original habitat.

Characteristics
The Veitchia merrillii is an evergreen palm tree that can reach up to 8 meters in height under ideal conditions. This palm has double-feathered leaves and produces small, bright red fruits. The trunk of the Veitchia merrillii is slender, straight and has the characteristic rings of a palm tree. This species has the special feature that it can grow in full sun, but also tolerates shade.
