DescriptionSpecifications

Origin
The Agave guadalajarana is a plant species originally from the west of Mexico. Specifically, this plant can be found in the region of the city of Guadalajara, in the state of Jalisco. It is a natural inhabitant of the deciduous forest areas and mountain forests, growing on calcareous soils at altitudes of 1500 to 2000 metres above sea level.

Characteristics
The Agave guadalajarana, also known as the Jalisco agave, is a succulent species, meaning it stores water in its leaves. These leaves are long, wide and fern-like with wavy edges, ranging in colour from light green to blue-green. The plant reaches a height of up to 2 metres and a width of about 3 metres. During the flowering period, the Agave guadalajarana produces a long flower stalk with conspicuous yellow flowers.

Care
For the care of the Agave guadalajarana it is important to take into account that the plant needs a sunny location. The soil in which the plant grows must be well drained to prevent too much water from accumulating. It is recommended to water the plant only moderately, especially in the winter period, as the plant is resilient to drought. For temperatures below ten degrees Celsius, it is advised to protect the plant or bring it indoors.
