Origin
The Crassula ovata 'Gollum', also known as the Gollum Jade, has its origin in South Africa. In nature, this succulent can be found in rocky areas with little moisture. The plant is named after the character Gollum from the books of J.R.R. Tolkien, due to the tubiform, wavering leaves that strongly resemble Gollum's fingers.

Characteristics
The Crassula ovata 'Gollum' is a succulent known for its notable, curved leaves. The plant can grow up to one and a half meter high and has a dense, shrub-like growth. The leaves are dark green in colour and resemble tubes with a red edge in shape. Moreover, in the winter the plant can produce small white or pink flowers, depending on the lighting and conditions.

Care
Crassula ovata 'Gollum' is an easy-to-care-for plant and loves a lot of light but can also grow perfectly with indirect sunlight. The plant copes well with drought and requires limited water; in the summer it suffices to water it once every two weeks, while in winter once a month is enough. It is important to avoid excess water as this can lead to root rot. The temperature should ideally lie between 15 and 22 degrees Celsius for optimal growth.
