The Fargesia murieliae 'Jumbo', better known as bamboo, originates from China. This specific variety, 'Jumbo', owes its name to its robust growth properties. The plant draws its name from the French missionary Paul Guillaume Farges, who collected many plant species from China.

Characteristics
The Fargesia murieliae 'Jumbo' is an evergreen bamboo known for its lush, upright growth. The height of this plant varies between 2 and 3 meters and is characterized by the bright green, fine leaves. The stems are a clear yellow-green, and over time, they turn yellowish, giving it a particularly striking colour effect. This bamboo cluster is non-invasive, meaning it doesn't produce runners that can grow uncontrolled.
