Origin
The Sansevieria aubrytiana, is a succulent originally from West Africa. More specifically, the plant is indigenous to countries like Nigeria and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Over the centuries, the plant has spread worldwide, mainly as an ornamental indoor plant.

Characteristics
The Sansevieria aubrytiana is characterised by its long, upright leaves that have a greenish-grey colour with irregular, horizontal stripes. The leaves can grow up to 1 meter in length and have a thick, leathery texture. This plant can be kept both in a pot indoors and outdoors in the garden, although it prefers well-drained soil and full sun or partial shade.

Care
In terms of care, the Sansevieria aubrytiana is quite easy-going. As a succulent, this plant needs very little water; it's better to under-water than to over-water. The plant can withstand drought well and thrives in steady warm temperatures above 15 degrees Celsius. Watering should be limited during the winter months, when the plant is least active.
