Characteristics
The Echinocactus grusonii 'Intermedius' is a spherical, green-coloured cactus with striking golden-yellow spikes. These spikes are one of the defining characteristics within the Echinocactus genus. The plant can reach up to a meter in height and achieve a diameter of around 60 centimeters. With advanced age, a light green 'crown' forms at the top of the cactus.

The plant loves sunlight but also requires some shade in very strong sunshine. During the growing seasons, the cactus needs feeding.
