Characteristics
The Yucca gloriosa 'Variegata' is an evergreen shrub that grows to heights of 0.5 to 2.5 meters. It is distinguished by its rigid, lance-shaped leaves that are striped with yellow and green. The plant blooms from August until September, with clusters of small, bell-shaped, white flowers. The leaves are sharp and have a thistle-like tip, a distinctive characteristic of the yucca plants.

Care
The Yucca gloriosa 'Variegata' requires a sunny location and well-draining soil, making it suitable for rockeries or sandy, dry areas. The plant is hardy and can withstand temperatures down to -15°C. Even though the plant is drought-tolerant, it requires regular watering for optimal growth, especially during dry periods. The yucca plant needs feeding all year round, with a peak during the growth season from spring until summer. As the plant's second growth period is in the autumn, it is recommended to water less after the flowering in September.
