Origin
The Aechmea Pepita Elegant Flames is a bromeliad-like plant that originates from the rainforest of Central and South America. Its native range extends from Mexico to Argentina. In these areas, it grows wild on trees without extracting nutrients from the ground.

Characteristics
The Aechmea Pepita Elegant Flames is known for its beautiful elongated leaves that boast a stunning colour palette of green, red and pink shades. In the middle of these leaves, a beautiful flower cluster evolves that carries dozens of orange ornamental flowers. This plant can reach a height of approximately 50 cm. Flowering is often a one-time event but very spectacular and can last up to 6 months.

Care
The Aechmea Pepita Elegant Flames doesn't require much care. Its prefers indirect sunlight and room temperature around 20 degrees Celsius. It is recommendable to regularly water the plant in its cup, to mimic its natural environment. After flowering, you can cut off the mother plant, after which the so-called 'pups' from the ground will replace the plant. It is not necessary to feed this plant with plant nutrition.
