Origin
The Pogonatherum paniceum 'Bambus', also known as Mini Bamboo, has its roots in the tropical and subtropical regions of Asia. This graceful plant is predominantly found in rainforests where it enjoys the warm, humid climate.

Characteristics
The Pogonatherum paniceum 'Bambus' is characterised by its fine, thin and long leaves that have a fresh green colour. The plant has a compact growth, which makes it suitable for keeping in a pot. The stems resemble those of a bamboo plant, hence the nickname Mini Bamboo. The height can vary from 50cm to 1 metre, depending on the care and conditions.

Care
The Mini Bamboo prefers a lot of light, but cannot tolerate direct sunlight. The plant has high requirements for humidity, ideally above 60%. As the plant originally comes from a tropical climate, it prefers temperatures between 18-22°C. Watering needs to be moderate, but regular. Care should be taken to ensure that the potting soil does not dry out. The Pogonatherum paniceum 'Bambus' has a fast growth rate and therefore a higher nutritional need, therefore feed the plant every 2-3 weeks from spring to autumn.
