Origin
The Phalaenopsis Optistar mix, also known as an orchid, originates from tropical regions such as Southeast Asia, Southern China, and the Philippines. It predominantly grows in rainforests and mountainous areas at various elevations, from sea level up to 1,200 meters.

Characteristics
The Phalaenopsis Optistar mix is notable for its vibrant colours ranging from white to dark purple, often with contrasting patterns. Each of the flowers, which can be in bloom for x months, can be up to eight centimeters wide. The leaves are generally oblong, thick, and have a dark green colour. This plant can also produce perennial blooms on the same stem.

Care
The Phalaenopsis Optistar mix requires a mild climate, preferably between 20-22 degrees Celsius. Too much direct sunlight can be harmful, so a location with indirect, bright light is optimal. It requires average watering, and the soil should be allowed to lightly dry out between watering to prevent root rot. It is recommended to feed the plant once a month with a balanced orchid fertilizer.
