Origin
The Cotoneaster horizontalis, also known as the herringbone cotoneaster, originally comes from China and was brought to Europe at the start of the 20th century. The plant is now grown in temperate climates worldwide due to its decorative characteristics and easy maintenance.

Characteristics
The Cotoneaster horizontalis is a low, spreading plant with a characteristic herringbone structure to its branches. The leaves are small, glossy and dark green in colour. In spring and early summer, the plant bears small, pink flowers, followed by bright red berries in the autumn and winter. In addition, the plant provides a beautiful shelter for birds and insects.

Care
