Origin
The Cereus mix, also known as the Night Blooming Cereus, originates from South America. The plant can predominantly be found in dry, desert-like areas such as Argentina, Bolivia, and Brazil. This makes the Cereus mix a highly resistant and adaptable plant species, capable of thriving in both extremely dry and humid conditions.

Characteristics
The Cereus mix is a slim, columnar cactus that can grow to impressive heights. It is known for its large, spectacular flowers that can be either white or pink in colour. These flowers only bloom at night and fill the surroundings with a pleasant, sweet scent. The stems of the Cereus mix are dotted with tiny spikes and can range in colour from dark green to bluish.

Care
The Cereus mix needs very little water due to its native desert environment. Overwatering can lead to root rot and premature death of the plant. Direct sunlight, especially during the hottest part of the day, can burn the cactus, so it is best to provide indirect sunlight. Regular fertilisation, particularly during the growth season, helps the Cereus mix to grow and bloom regularly. The soil must be well-draining to prevent the retention of excessive water, which can lead to root rot.
