Origin
The Haworthia mix is a collection of various types, all belonging to the Haworthia genus. These plants are native to South Africa, where they have adapted to the dry and rocky environments of this region. Despite their tropical origin, they are well adapted to indoor conditions and are often used as pot plants.
Characteristics
Haworthia plants are small succulents, and many species have characteristic translucent leaves. The leaves are often thick and fleshy, and can have patterns and colour variations, depending on the specific species. Their size usually varies between 3 and 5 cm in height, which makes them ideal for small pots and terrariums. Moreover, they bear flowers on long stems that rise above the leaves.
Care
Although Haworthia plants are generally easy to care for, they have specific water and light needs. In terms of water, they require a well-draining soil and benefit from regular but not too frequent watering. Overwatering can easily cause root rot. In terms of light, they need a bright but indirect light source. Direct sunlight can burn their leaves and fade their colour.
