Origin
The Dracaena fragrans 'Ulises', also known as the Dragon Tree, has its origin in tropical Africa. It is a popular indoor plant in temperate regions of the world due to its resistance to dry indoor conditions and its aesthetic value.
Characteristics
Characteristic of the Dracaena fragrans 'Ulises' are the lush, dark green leaves with a striking yellow stripe down the middle. It grows with a single, slowly expanding trunk that gradually increases the height of the plant. The growth of this plant can reach indoor heights of up to 1.5 meters, making it a prominent addition to the interior.
Care
The Dracaena fragrans 'Ulises' requires minimal maintenance and can thrive well in a wide range of indoor conditions. Although it is tolerant to light, it performs best in indirect, bright light. A well-draining potting soil and moderate watering, when the top layer of the soil feels dry, are generally sufficient for the plant. The plant needs little feeding, once a month during the growing season is sufficient. Overwatering and insufficient light can cause leaf drop.
