Origin
The Scindapsus pictus 'Silvery Ann' is a plant species that originally comes from Southeast Asia. This plant, also known as 'Satin Pothos', is mainly found in the tropical rainforests of countries such as Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines.
Characteristics
The large, heart-shaped leaves with a silvery sheen are characteristic of the Scindapsus pictus 'Silvery Ann'. The surface of the leaf is described as 'velvety' and has a striking pattern of silver-coloured spots. The plant easily reaches a height of 120 to 150 centimetres, but may sometimes need support to grow to full size.
Care
In terms of care, the Scindapsus pictus 'Silvery Ann' is not very demanding. The plant thrives best in a spot with indirect sunlight and a constant temperature, absolutely no less than 10 degrees Celsius. Only water the plant when the top layer of potting soil feels dry, as too much water can lead to root rot. The humidity must also be kept quite high to prevent the leaves from drying out.
