Origin
The Dieffenbachia seguine 'Snow' originates from the tropical regions of Central and South America. This plant from the arum family was named in honour of the German horticulturist Ernst Dieffenbach.
Characteristics
Characteristic of the Dieffenbachia seguine 'Snow' are its large oval leaves, which are unmistakably striped with a mix of dark and light green shades. The plant itself can grow up to 1 metre tall. Its leaves are very glossy and silky, contributing to its striking appearance. It also occasionally produces small, inconspicuous flowers.
Care
In terms of care, the Dieffenbachia seguine 'Snow' thrives best in a moist, well-draining soil and prefers indirect light. It is not tolerant of temperature changes and should be kept away from drafts. Watering should be moderate, as the plant does not tolerate waterlogging. It also has a high humidity requirement and needs to be sprayed regularly to meet this requirement.
