Origin
The Taxus media 'Hillii' is a cross between the Taxus baccata and the Taxus cuspidata, originated in nurseries. It is a cultivar that originally occurs in Western Europe and North Asia. This species is often planted in gardens and parks because of its aesthetic value and growth power.

Characteristics
The Taxus media 'Hillii' is an evergreen shrub with deep dark green, needle-like foliage. This yew variety can reach a height of 110-140 centimetres. The plant has a broad, spherical growth habit and produces red, berry-like fruits. It is a slow-growing species that increases in height annually by about 10 to 20 centimetres.
